Only two places caught our attention
in Lopburi, one of them turned out to be one of the major highlights of
our trip. First, there was the former Royal Palace from the 17th century.
Secondly, was Phra Sam Yot, a Hindu turned Buddhist shrine from the 10th
century, which has been inhabited by countless monkeys that feed off of
handouts from tourists arriving at the nearby train station. They were
everywhere!! Climbing up the sides of the surrounding buildings, swinging
from power lines, harassing tourists for food, etc.
